The market has certainly been in a ‘reflective’ mood this Winter and perhaps we should reflect on what has been a VERY interesting time with the market re-adjusting which started in February 2008.  Looking back we see that we have survived some very tumultuous times, looking forward we realise that we are 2 ½ years into a changing market.  The feeling in the market place is that people are now beginning to look forward and celebrate our achievements as a nation but particularly our achievements as a State responsible for a stable and growing proportion of this Countries income which is out of proportion with the population who calls WA home.

It is this strength that underlines continuing employment and population growth in our area, looking forward to next year it is anticipated that average Company profits are forecasted to grow 58% alone.  So we have reason to be positive.

So what does the future hold for property in our area, we still have shortfalls both in numbers of homes but particularly in the Western Suburbs of Perth, we are short of properties for the aging ‘Baby Boomers’ – this is going to be a big issue and a market driver going forward.

Right now as the more expensive area in Perth values seem to be well adjusted and this may not be the best winter for sales.  Looking forward we may all judge the Winter of 2010 as the best buying opportunity – so don’t wait for Spring your opportunity may be right in front of you now!
